Round Britain in a weekend
Congratulations to our Operations Director, Peter Clapp, who traveled the length and breadth of Britain at the weekend with two friends in a 1975 Del Lines Triumph 2000 Stag Saloon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. The Club Triumph Round Britain Run takes place every two years over the first weekend of October. The event was first organised in 1966, when just 6 cars took part and this year’s event was the 24th with more than 100 cars entered. Crews left North London on Friday evening, drove to John O’Groats for breakfast on Saturday, all the way down to Land’s End for breakfast on Sunday, then back to North London for the finish on Sunday evening.
Peter returned to the office at 22:00hrs on Sunday 5th October after sleeping 2 nights en-route in the back of the car and his first words when we saw him on Monday morning was “it’s good to back to work as I could do with a rest!”.
