Cityjet needed to replace their existing SMS tool for a tool that could support an integrated SMS and comply with EASA regulations (EU) 965/2012 (ORO.GEN.200 ‘Management System’). SMS360 was selected and a phased approach was agreed starting with Flight Operations. The other reporting areas were then rolled out which included Maintenance, Cabin and Ground Operations. The implementation was straightforward as FlightDataPeople did the set up and hosted the system on their servers. The system also required minimal training and was found to be easy to use but highly effective having excellent risk analysis and reporting capabilities as well as using best practice SMS processes and techniques.
